Dominquie Walters is a dance educator, choreographer, researcher, and presenter whose work exists at the intersection of artistry, pedagogy, and advocacy. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Valdosta State University and a Master of Arts in Dance Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Dance Education at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City.

With experience across K–12 public education, higher education, performance, and community engagement, Dominquie is dedicated to cultivating rigorous, student-centered learning environments where artistic excellence, discipline, accountability, and belonging are equally valued. His teaching and choreographic practice use movement as a vehicle for storytelling, encouraging dancers to explore identity, culture, history, and contemporary social issues through meaningful artistic experiences.

As a scholar, Dominquie's research centers the art of Majorette and its role within culturally responsive dance education. His work examines how historically Black dance traditions can be thoughtfully integrated into public school curricula while expanding conversations around equity, representation, and access in dance education.

Through teaching, research, choreography, and professional presentations, Dominquie strives to elevate the role of dance as both an academic discipline and a powerful catalyst for cultural understanding, creative expression, and educational transformation.
